Your Pension Modeller

It’s your choice

Whether you are just joining the scheme or reviewing your choices, you decide where to save the pension contributions made to your Clarks Flexible Pension Scheme (the Scheme).

You have a number of different options to save for your retirement, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. In a nutshell, you can choose a savings option where you know your income in retirement or choose to leave some things to chance in the hope it gives you a better outcome.

You can think about your pension planning in the same way you would plan a holiday:

  • Pre-booking – you could plan everything, choose exactly what you want and be more sure of getting it. It may end up costing you more, but it gives you greater peace of mind. This is like the Pay Related Section of your Scheme.
  • Allocation on arrival – you could book your holiday, but not the exact hotel or location. You may get more for your money, but you won’t know until you get there. This is like the Investment Related Section of your Scheme.

Using the Pension Choice Modeller

You can use this modeller to help you:

  1. Find out how the company contributes to your retirement saving.
  2. Compare the pension you could receive in each section.

The modeller will show the pension you could get for just this year’s contribution, alongside the pension you could get if you continued that choice until you retire.

Remember, all applications to join the Scheme must be returned within three months of being first eligible and any change forms will be actioned in the next available payroll.
